Laura Graves

Laura is involved with everything! Not only does she get amzing grades at school but she does really well in all of her sporting things, whether it is rowing or badminton or shot put. But not only is that an inspiration to me, she also gives her time to others! She has worked with me through her gold ambassador work in creating assemblies about the Olympics for primary school children, helping to inspire people into the Olympics and develop their knowledge, also supporting the Olympic Legacy. She helps at any festivals or sporting activities and she is always there! If I was struggling or needed help she would be the first to say yes! Not only that but she also has time for you. She helps at guides and brownies too and not only do they enjoy having her there, she enjoys it being there! Which makes it so nice to see. Laura wants to be able to inspire people to do well and enjoy sport like she does, so to get the opportunity to carry the torch will allow her to show more young people that working hard and being determined can allow you to suceed and do things that you want to do! Other sporting things I do well at are hockey, netball, rounders, volleyball and swimming, as well as rowing, badminton and shot put.
