Lara's nomination story

Lara is the seventh child in a family. She represesents everything that is good about today's youth and never stops working hard in her role as a top air cadet in Sevenoaks and even though she is now a trainee officer RAF cadet and bursary at Durham uni,she still returns each holiday to work tirelessly at the local squadron and inspire youngsters in their training and leadership skills. She raises money for many charities..the Sevenoaks squadron winning many times a prize for most money raised for the Royal BritishLegion..she can be seen often on car parking duties, abseling down high buildings...indeed if it is an event that will help children, the sick,or any armed forces charity, her smiling face will lead the way. No matter what is asked of her Lara will go that extra mile..school vice captain,an amateur sportswoman,a trainee pilot..but more importantly a sticker,a genuine person, someone that can be relied on to take time out from her busy schedule to tutor young children,to take care of an elderly grandma, and to give up her summer break to care for her ywin baby nephews whose parents are both soldiers. Her big brother was awarded an MBE for his work in the army .She is a proud little sister but to us her family she gives us strength when the chips are down and you could have no more cheerful or enthusiastic torchbearer..a young woman who embodies the true spirit of the Olympic games!
