`On 19th February 2009 at the ridiculous age of 23 Kris' life was flipped upside down when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Until then she was chasing the travel and tourism dream of living an ever better, ever bigger and ever more fabulous life. Now she's another cancer fighter chasing the dream of becoming a survivor.` She has worked tirelessly to spread awareness of breast cancer in young women, to educate them that this can happen to them! She set up her own charity `CoppaFeel` with the aim to get young women (and men) to check themselves regularly. It has a funky feel that reaches out to young people and has saved lives already! She never seems to stop and has organised a number of festivals, bike rides, and school visits to help spread the message. It`s so unique in that it targets a younger audience, a gap that`s been missing for far too long finally has a voice. Her strength, courage and determination has been an inspiration to so many, and I can`t think of a more worthy person to have the honour of carrying the Olympic Torch. She would do it with the same pride that she carries when she sees the thousands of supporters for Coppafeel grow and grow. An amazing person who optimises true Brit grit and drive, against all the odds she is fighting back hard, she possesses a kind of strength that we could all only hope to have faced with the same challenges. Kris already does this country proud, this would just be an incredible recognition of that.
