Kirsty Whiley

I wish to nominate my daughter. She has velo cardial facial syndrome, which results in learning difficulties and speech difficulties. She is 20 but has the developmental age of someone 4/5 years younger. She does not find life easy but always gives 100% in everything she does. She volunteers 3 afternoons a week for the Martlets warehouse, a charity for the local cancer hospice in Brighton & Hove. She regularly attends Spiral, a support group for young adults with learing difficulties, and participates in such things as dance, basketball and ten pin bowling. She is a very happy, positive young lady who is always smiling, willing to help others and loves her brother to death.
