Kirsten's nomination story

i am nominating my sister kirsten because when she was 6 years old she was diagnosed with a heart wasting disease called cardiomyopathy this resulted in her being tired all the time, not being able to walk, her body filled with fluid,. she was then sent to liverpool to have a pacemaker fitted but unfortunatly that didnt work so they tried a double one which didnt work either, so kirsten got put on the transplant list and within weeks she recieved a phonecall to tell her the good news she had a heart, she was drove to manchester airport in an ambulance and a sea king helicopter flew my mum and my sister to newcastle, then the heart transplant took place. it was a long recovery and trips to and from the hospital each week, not once did she complain when she was going through hell she always had a smile on her face, kirsten is 8 year transplant on the 19th december and is still going strong and always has that smile on her face, we are all so proud!although kirsten has slight learning difficulties she is always there to help others and this as an oppurtunity for kirsten to shine,
