Passionate about Sport' runs through Kim's veins. She is a true Sporting Ambassador. Kim, Secondary School teacher, University Lecturer, Advisory Teacher, YST. Current role of consultant to London Borough of Barnet on PE & Sport utilises her knowledge & expertise to work with teachers to ensure all young people get access to HQ PE. Colleagues admire her tireless energy. Kim is Wife and Mother to 3 children, now in their 20's who are also passionate about Sport. 10 years ago Kim started girl's cricket section at a local CC. She worked with local schools to create interest and development at U11, U13 & U15s, in a sport that`s traditionally male dominated. Interest continued and a new thriving Women's league involving 10 teams exists. Kim worked for a charity called Peacemakers International in Embu, Kenya, all self funded. First trip - trained over 100 primary teachers to deliver HQ PE and 60 teenage sports leaders, second trip -focused on leadership and ownership of learning, worked in 6 different secondary schools, third trip- worked in 8 schools developing dance. Kim is Child Protection Officer with Barnet & District Athletics, Ravenscroft Tennis and the Cricket Club protecting best interests of children and young people. Kim deserves to be a torchbearer because through her love of PE and Sport, in both her participating and teaching capacity and her philosophy to be the best you can be, she makes a difference and has inspired thousands of people, young & old to be what they are today.
