Killian's nomination story

Killian has contributed positively to school life - as a member of the Student Council; a Hall Monitor; a volunteer on the Familiarisation day for P7 children sitting the Transfer test; using his musical talents within the Music Dept. and at various School events. He received the Music Service Outstanding Achievement Award for Violin Grade 7. He was also Co-Managing Director of the Young Enterprise Team which competed in the Northern Ireland final. He is a member of the School's Debating team and he has participated in a BBC News Line talk. An all-rounder, he enjoys sport, competing in the local Schools Swimming Gala. He has achieved his Bronze Medallion Life Saving Award. In recognition of his role in school life Killian has been appointed Head Prefect. Outside school his Musical interests continue, taking Piano lessons (Grade 7 achieved) and as a member of the WELB Senior Orchestra. He is attends Omagh Youth Club. A volunteer with the Junior Gateway Club he helps children suffering mental disabilities; and at Tyrone County Hospital in the Rehabilitation Ward. Killian won 'Outstanding Student Volunteer of the Year' in Omagh, and the Millenium Volunteer Award of Excellence for 200 hours of Volunteering.
