Kierun Baker

Kierun did not start at Harbour until part way though year 10 he previously attended Christchurch Academy, where due to his learn disabilities, he was gradually falling further behind his peers and had become quite withdrawn and was struggling to keep up with the pace of learning and had very low self-esteem. As a member of the Harbour community we have seen Kierun develop into an amazing young man and ambassador for the school. He is always ready with a smile, his attendance is outstanding and as a result his learning continues to progress. More importantly, his self-esteem is so much better, he is always willing to do the right thing and lead by example. He is a Prefect, he took part in his first sports day and won the individual trophy and for DoE he now volunteers at a local primary special school helping others with their learning.
