Kieran Maxwell

The Olympic Torch is a symbol of hope and my son inspires that from the people who know him. Since October 2010 when was diagnosed with a Ewings Sarcoma Kieran has undergone extensive chemotherapy which at the end although worked has cost him his left tibia as the cancer had damaged the bone and tissue too much to save it.

But he has not let that stop him he is undertaking every obstacle thrown at him and is pushing himself to get an artificial limb as soon as he is well enough as he has just finished the chemotherapy. Kieran is an extremely positive boy who does not let his disability stop him in fact its made him more determined than ever to succeed.
