Kerry, is a real community person who unselfishly has fought for her school to be rebuilt under BSF programme.She consistently lead from the front at school co-running the school council and has become a Young Olympic Ambassador seeking to involve others in sporting activities. Voluntary roles include leading primary school workshops, sportsdays & community events. This year she done 2 charity walks one of which was 40 miles long and took 13 hours to complete. She is also a cyber mentor whom younger children look up to for advice and guidance. She has excelled at her gcse exams by passing 13 exams at A and B grades, becoming an inspiration to pupils in the year below her. She has also ran 2 race for life 5k races and a 16 mile bike ride for the British Heart foundation. At 13 she joined a local football team for a season until the team folded. She didn't let this deter her as she took up becoming an assistant football coach. Kerry throws herself in to everything she does with grit and determination that she will suceed. Her teachers are full of praise for her ability and levels of commitment she shows in all the subjects she studies & extra-curricular. She enjoys passing on knowledge and advice to those younger than her. Kerry visited the houses of parlaiment to meet 2 local MP's in her pursuit to campaign for her school rebuild even though she will have left the school before the must needed improvements are complete.She got 2000 people to sign up to her online campaign.I also went to the Houses of Parliament and met local MPs to campaigne against the dicision to cut funding to school sport partnerships last year.
