Kenneth's nomination story

Ken helped with the administration of the Edinburgh Direct Aid charity. He was also involved in fundraising and in sorting and collecting donations of goods in Scotland and the North of England. This led to Ken driving trucks full of aid materials to Bosnia on 8 separate occasions. Ken's involvement with youth includes: Rugby refereeing and teaching swimming and life-saving at a school in the east end of Glasgow. Teaching children to ski both in the UK and in the Alps. He is an elder in his church and has been involved in: Helping the Youth Club. Running Bible classes. The Youth Forum Committee and has been Convenor of the Buildings, Personnel and Hospitality Committees. He has raised over £10,000 by running (including 14 marathons) and long-distance swimming. He is Convenor of the Foundation and International Committees of the Rotary Club of Braids. In summary, Ken is inspirational because of his tireless efforts on behalf of others.
