Kenneth Johnson

I would like to nominate my dad, Ken to carry the torch somewhere in Cornwall for the 2012 Olympics. I think he deserves a chance to carry the torch as I beleive he has helped to make in difference in the community of St Austell and indeed the whole of Cornwall. As he competed in Perranporth Surf Triathlon where he raised hundreds of pounds to contribute to the Merlin Project which has recently opened. He did this as one of my teachers was diagnosed with MS and could no longer work, so his fundraising has not only helped her but many other sufferers from around the county. Cornwall has the highest incidence of MS in mainland Britian and the nearest MS centre at the time was hundreds of miles away. For all of his efforts he has never sought any recognition, so I beleive that my dad is one of St Austells unsung hereos and therefore should have a chance to carry the torch.
