My stepfather turns 50 next year and he may not be a loud, proud local hero but he is a quiet legend! He is kind, thoughtfull and generally the nicest man ever. He lost his father this year and this would make his father very proud of him if he was given the opportunity to run with the torch.. He has inspired me so much throughout my life teaching me right from wrong and bringing me up since I was two. I think you should consider him because this would be a dream come true for him and that is what the olympics are all about, dreams. Also i would be the proudest daughter ever and it would make him so happy. I do understand that you will be looking for an outstanding person who has so many more achievements than my dad but this is a once in a life time opportunity and i couldn't let the chance pass without trying to grab it for him. He doesn't think he will be picked but I am going to pray that you choose him (which I never do!). Thank you very much for even the opportunity.
