What can i say about Kieran? I have only known kieran for a few years. but in that time i have seen an amazing transformation. From a quiet shy awkward young lad to a confident mature young man. kieran has dyslexia with associated irlen syndrome.Dyspraxia with low muscle tone. He also suffers from communication problems associated with aspergers. when i first met kieran these disabilties affected him he struggled to mix and socialise with people. All that was needed to help kieran was water. He joined the local swimming club quickly moving through the squad levels at his local swimming team. Competing at local events and even going away from home to compete at swimming galas. the last year has been an amazing year for kieran gaining his UKSA S14 classification. competing at scottish junior championships for swimmers with a learning disability where he finished as overall junior champion. Then the british junior championships where he finished top scottish swimmer. he now trains with the scottish developement squad for swimmers with learning disabilities. But the sport of swimming has made a massive difference to kierans world. he now has the confidence to compete and train as a team with kids his own age. i think kieran is a great advert for swimming and the benefits it has for people like him. this is only the beginning for him in the future i feel he will be able to tell people with similar problems his story. His happy ending.these people could only be inspired by him
