Kathy Gore

Kathy Gore is an extraordinary person. Through her running and participation in marathons she has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for Sussex Hospices and through organising other events she has raised over a million. She is the High Sheriff of East Sussex this year and continues with her fund raising both through running and organised events. Kathy is an inspiration to all of us in East Sussex, a caring and committed friend and someone who single handedly has helped to bring comfort and care to people in hospices. To be able to carry the Olympic Torch for a mile in East Sussex would be so appropriate for a person who is always willing to go that extra mile for her community and her County.
