Katie Row

Katie has worked incredibly hard to become an excellent all round role model for the students at our school and beyond. She is a talented student in and outside the classroom. She is a popular and extremely polite young lady who has been willing to give freely of her time to the benefit of others in the community.

Katie has become an outstanding dancer who was selected to be part of a professional cast to take part in Shropshire's main Christmas Panto. To do this she had to take mock exams and catch up on work during the month of the performances. She was the only teenager taking part in the cast and her exceptional performances gained great reviews. She is also a top class sports player having trained with the County netball squad and participated in numerous school teams, often as captain. She took on a senior prefect role in school and led a team of twelve prefects.

Katie has done lots of work with other student groups though. On top of her own performances, Katie has worked as a Junior Sports Leader with younger students from our own school but also partner primaries. She takes regular encore dance clubs after school and worked with students to help put on two dance festivals. She has boundless energy, great manners and respect for others and a love of life. Many staff and students have benefited from her involvement and support. She would gain great confidence from such an honour. CR
