Katy Demoily

Katy is our daughter. She represented the North of England at Gymnastics at the Special Olympics, winning 15 gold,12 silver and several bronze medals along the way. In 2009 she was bullied at so badly this had such a profound affect on her health and she dropped out of the Northern team, with her self esteem at an all time low. In 2010 she went along to the sports stadium and began practising the javelin, hammer etc. and is hoping to once again represent the North of England at the special olympics. She turns up hail rain and snow and always does her best in training and whatever else she does. This would be Katy`s dream and would give such a boost to her confidence to carry the torch. Katy has Downs Syndrome but it doesn`t stop her having a go at anything she wants. This will show her that her bullies didn`t win in the long run.
