Kate has been Captain of both Great Britain and England for 8 years and is an inspirational leader of the team. She is currently the most capped player and has participated in two Olympic Games, 3 World Cups and 6 European Nations Cups. In 2010 she led the England women's hockey squad to its most successful year ever, winning three medals; including their first ever Bronze Medal at a World Cup. It is testament to Kate's professionalism and dedication to her team-mates that, following a penalty shoot out heartache semi final, she was able to galvanise the team into winning their World Cup Bronze Medal. As a former double recipient of the British Hockey Writers Player of the Year, and Great Britain Hockey Athlete of the year in 2007, Kate is well respected by her peers.
