Karen Woodrow

Karen is the glue in the team in Glasgow. She's never too busy to help anyone and goes above and beyond in her roles as PA to Chris jones and Hugh Murray, and helping the team locally in any way she can. She's got a big heart and great spirit. Karen has been the backbone of this building since 1999. She has gone through 25 rebrands, and strives to keep everyone sane on a daily basis. She is the sort of person you measure niceness against. Every single department of the broadcast centre needs her assistance on a daily basis, her help is unbelievably efficient and she goes about it with a smile and never complains. She was part of the organising committee for charity balls held for Radio Lollipop (radio for sick children in hospital) and for Cottage Homes (retail based charity). She has a band and along with the other 2 band members they organis their own charity nights to raise money for Radio Lollipop and also for an African orphanage - providing the entertainment free of charge as well as organising them. She has tried out her skills as a bingo caller at a bingo night for the African orphanage charity and also her auction skills at the fundraising dance. She has also recently run 5K and 10K races for Cancer Research.
