Karen West

Karen is a nursing sister at Goring Hall Hospital and is the patients' guardian angel through their fight with cancer. She is far more than a nurse and is always there 24/7 on her mobile to answer our questions, be a shoulder to cry on or help us through chemo side effects and infections. A working day means nothing to Karen who regularly works extra hours to support her patients in need and their families, as well as running cancer support sessions. She is like a mother to her cancer patients and shows a level of care that is rarely seen in nursing today. Our cancer journey would be far harder without that phone number we can always ring, she is a true inspiration with all her patients. I lost my mum to cancer but Karen has been a good reserve since I have been diagnosed!
