Karen Pickering

Karen was a member of the British Swimming Squad from 1986 to 2005.  Honours include 8 World Championship medals, 4 of which were Gold, 14 European Championship medals, 38 National Championship titles and 13 Commonwealth Games medals including 4 Gold.  Competed at the 1992, 1996, 2000 & 2004 Olympic Games. She now runs her own business with 20 swim schools and swim fitness programmes. Karen is chair of the British Athletes' Commission as well as being on the board of the EIS and a member of LOCOG's Athletes Committee. Karen was nominated on to the BOA Athletes' Commission in 2012 where she brings a wealth of experience.
