Kai has had a variety of set backs in his young life including asthma, eczema and various hospital visits following an operation to remove one of his kidneys in 2004. None of this seems to get to him, and he continues to approach sport and exercise (indeed all aspects of school life) with hard work and determination. Despite these set backs, Kai has attended every games session, where he gives 100% to everything he does. He asked to join rugby training where he enjoys the skills sessions, despite the fact he will never get to play, as he is not able to participate in full contact rugby. The highlight of this past year for Kai was representing the school under 15 football team against an Australian touring side, where despite being the youngest player on the pitch, he played a large part in a well earned victory. He is an inspiration to us all.
