I want to nominate my Nan to take part in this historic event. Not only is she a Londoner born and bred she helps her local community. My Nan volunteers at an Irish organisation that runs lunch clubs for the elderly. My Nan has done this for over 10 years. My Nan sets up the tables and chairs as well as giving out the meals and making sure all the elderly men and women are ok. My Nan turned 80 in December and continued her charity work and is one of the fittest people I know! But with age also comes health problems but she has continued to go and help out when really she should have been putting her feet up! My Nans health is on the mend and she continues to volunteer as well as playing her favorite sports badminton and table tennis. Taking part in the Olympic torch relay would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for my Nan and she deserves to take part for all her volunteer work.
