Karen Robertson

If you asked my sister she would say she is just a normal working mum. To me and others that know her its a different story. Karen works as a palative care nurse in Northumberland a demanding job which requires not just medical skills but qualities of patience understanding and compassion. All of which she has inabundance. She is an extemely talented sports woman who always plays down her own achievements She has been a North East champion Fell runner and Triathlete Constantly helping out at local sporting events; school athletics, swimming galas, cross country, cycling and tri events....no matter what the weather. Helping out from marshaling to just encouraging the last few over the line! Coaching up to 4 times a week ( She has recently passed her level 2 BTF coaching qualification) all voluntary in her own time. Not only helping out at the events its all the background work that no one sees that she does like helping organise and setting up training schedules events...picking up and dropping off young athelites but also looking after adults children so they can train and take part ..Karen also has 3 of her own children all of whom are talented athletes in different sports rowing, cycling and swimming which she is constantly dropping off and picking up. Karen has helped me personally with my own health issues and been a support to me and my famiy practically as well as emotionally. Karen spends the majority of her life doing things for others, this is for her.
