I'd like to nomimate my son Josh to carry the torch & make him part of the olympic dream which he's aiming to be part of in 2016 . Josh competes in olympic taekwondo (sparring) locally, nationaly & internationaly. He started tkd at age 8 & in his first national competition achieved a silver medal with an injured foot with his dad carrying him to the bus. This spirit epitomises Josh's dedication to his sport. He's focussed 100% & rarely gives up. His training regime & focus on being the best is second to none. He's been praised by coaches from all over the world for his ability & work rate. Some achievements to date: # Member of the national team # 5 National Scottish titles in 4 years in junior & cadet categories - winning both cadet & junior category on the same day # Silver medal in his first international competition as a cadet in the A-class Trellborg Open # Selected to represent Scotland in the Commonwealth Championships in India & winning a well earned bronze medal. # British bronze medallist at both cadet and junior level. Josh is very reserved about his achievements & is always very quick to praise others in the sport. He's an excellent role model for his age group & often affects change for the better in his classes & his school as a whole. He is quick to help others to develop & on the one night a week he does not train he helps out at a local primary boarding school helping them to develop confidence & self respect through the sport of taekwondo.
