Joe's nomination story

Hello, I'd like to nominate my 70 year old Dad, Joe Creegan on behalf of family, friends and I'm sure much of his local community. We think he's inspirational with all the money he's raised for charity and the smiles he's raised along the way - he definitely isn't afraid to make a fool of himself for a good cause! My mum was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's and last week my Dad recently raised over £3,000 for Parkinson's research by dressing up as a fairy and cycling 81 miles in the Etape Caledonia race, pictures here: http://www.justgiving.com/parkyfairy He's completed 13 marathons in fancy dress over the last 30 years, survived a 50 foot cliff fall from his mountain bike in 2007, cycled around Europe on a tandem with my mum and is always quick to help anyone out in the community who needs a hand. So we'd love to see him rewarded for all his efforts with a chance to be an Olympic torchbearer as I'm sure he'd relish the opportunity! Many thanks, Grant
