Having joined the adidas / London 2012 team just after the 2008 Beijing Olympics I will have worked for four years on the London 2012 project by the time the Games begin. In that time I feel like I have contributed massively to the project and to the business. I've proudly represented adidas during this time, working with the London 2012 Games organising committee ( LOCOG) on a daily basis. During my role, I've managed the adiZone project and have seen over 50 adiZones installed across the UK in that time. The project is still referred to as one of the best examples of leaving an Olympic legacy of sports participation. I worked on the project to name the official match ball for the Games, 'the Albert' will definitely be a name that is remembered. I've also worked on the internal comms team since its beginning and have been part of the team that ensures that the adidas community is inspired, informed and engaged with the Olympic Games. It is amazing to be chosen as one of the 8000 torch runners and represent myself and adidas in this once in a life time opportunity.
