Jon Turnbull

Jon is a Wells Engineering Authority working at BP. For the past three years, he has initiated and led an annual Scottish three-day coast to coast charity cycle ride. These events have now raised over £315,000 for local charitable causes, these rides have been fantastic team building events for BP staff in Aberdeen. Jon has organised the participants into sub-teams to self manage logistics, accommodation, route planning, catering, training, maintenance, and finance, fostering great teamwork and deep engagement by the participants. Jon's enthusiasm, commitment to the charitable causes and organisational and leadership skills have shone thorough and are an inspiration to the team of cyclists. These rides have made an enduring positive impact on the staff who have participated in the events, improving their personal fitness and benefiting from the satisfaction of being able to raise money for those not as fortunate as we are.
