Jonathan Poole

In under four years, Jonathan has created from scratch the Bucklebury Wolves Football Club for children aged four to ten. He has persuaded 8 other adults to help him coach allowing over 50 children to regularly attend. The ethos of the club is that it's free for all which requires extensive fund-raising by Jonathan. He has arranged friendly matches, a regular newsletter, team photos, world cup championship and soccer skills training by specialist coaches all requiring a huge commitment. Our community also greatly benefits as parents meet to cheer on children and come together for the annual BBQ. He has also project managed with his wife the redevelopment of our park, a lengthy project requiring great perseverance and resulting in a valued village asset. All done very willingly and always with a smile.
