Jonathan's nomination story

How amazing is this? Running in the Olympics! Ok, so it's not quite the 100m sprint but still, mother will be proud!

Sport has always been a big part of my life. This is a time when we can all come together and celebrate the best athletes in the world, admire their dedication, and dream about being in their shoes. To be part of this, especially in my home country, is an honour.

For me the biggest inspiration in life is the faith people put in you. Dealing with alopecia, although being life changing, has been made so much easier by those around me. We should all strive to be the best we can be and with the backing of loved ones, anything is possible.

I'm a very proud Cornishman so although carrying the touch at the British Olympic games, I am still very much flying the flag for Kernow!
