Jonathan Barker

Jonathan is a 5th Dan Master of Taekwondo. He opened a club called Barkers Taekwondo school 27 years ago and has been teaching students continuously since then. His students range from 6 to 76 years old and have different abilities, but, they are all encouraged to always do the best they can. Jonathan ensures the tenants of taekwondo are instilled in each student. They can work through the grades, learning self defence and how to keep fit but in a fun way. Jonathan gives up his free time to voluntary run the club twice a week. He thoroughly enjoys his taekwondo teaching and has helped so many young people grow into confident, independant adults. I am sure this nomination will give him the recognition he deserves.
