John's nomination story

John has been put forward to be nominated for this privilege by one of his work colleagues. John has been running in Marathons for over 28 years and has since ran in over 720 organised events. His first involvement in running came around when he was asked to run in the first Maidstone marathon in June 1983. Of the 723 events in has run in, includes 1 London to Brighton, 346 Full Marathons, 140 Half marathons, 99 10km races, 69; 10 mile races to name a few and in doing so has raised thousands of pounds for his chosen Charity `The Peggy Wood Foundation` formally the `Kent Leukaemia and Cancer Equipment Fund`, as well as winning numerous trophies along the way. His colleague has nominated him for his inspirational achievements and his commitment to the sport he loves. As you can see from his date of birth, John is now 71 and is still running as strong as ever, even when asked to participate in this event he had to check his diary as he thought had he already committed to run in yet another Marathon! The management would be honoured if you would consider selecting this truly inspirational person to run in not only our name but his as well.
