John James

John is the longest standing member of the British Olympic Association Board and was the Secretary of the Lawn Tennis Association for many years, until his retirement in 2003 and also President of European Tennis. Having started his passion in sport as a ball boy at Wimbledon John has moved through the ranks as a player, umpire, administrator and officer of both the Olympic and tennis sporting movements. John is highly respected by all those across the sporting landscape. A man who is committed to making a difference for others and creating opportunities for young people through sport and education. His achievements are many however he has remained humble throughout which causes all those who he works with to admire him greatly. A truly inspirational man.
