true gent, hell of a teacher , true inspiration , true legend ; just a few of the quotes from a tribute from ex pupils to my dad as he retires this year. He has taught PE for 35 years at a tough, demanding school and never once have I seen him deliver anything but the best. He has given up so much time over the years to encourage as many people as possible to get involved in sport and really made a huge difference to so many people. When the school entered 'special measures' he did not stop his hard work, even getting support from Jonny Wilkinson and the school became recognised for its sporting achievements. The quote which sticks the most from the tribute is extremely fitting for this... thank you for giving me the opportunities you did, you changed my life and its wonderful to have such an inspirational teacher. I love that my dad made a difference to so many other people.
