John Glover

John is a fantastic motivator and mentor who voluntarily helps hundreds of people via DK Running Club, achieve their potential in running and reaching personal milestones in life. When I first met John 3 years ago I was so nearvous running with a professional club. He soon put me at ease, as he does with everyone. He has a natural flair for knowing who needs encouragement, support and sometimes just someone to listen to whilst running. John always sees the potential in everyone and each year during the beginners` course will encourage everyone to focus on their own goals and be the best they can be and when they acieve thri first 3 mile race he is so proud of them and we can all see this. He makes DK Running Club feel like a family and I look forward to running every week. He runs on a week-end for anyone who wants extra training and supports us at races. He is always full of praise for everyone and what they achieve, yet is humble in what he does for us. He`s a great friend, mentor and coach and he deserves this once in a lifetime opportunity to carry the torch. It is our way of thanking him for being a great person who always gives and takes nothing back in return.
