John Dunne

I am nominating my father, John. He coaches young people with disabilities. He gives up at least 2 nights a week and a few hours every Sunday morning, this does not include the time he dedicates when the young people are involved in competitions. Two athletes he has coached have gone on to represent Great Britain in Paralympic Games, both achieved medals at their events. An inspirational young girl in Tameside who has chosen to have a leg amputated has approached my father for coaching as her only ambition is to run in the 2016 Olympic games. Nothing remarkable in this story, many people all over England give their time so freely, except to mention my father does this and he is 83 years old and still freely giving his time and expertise.
