Mr Anderson is a primary school teacher at North-County Primary School, Gainsborough. He teaches all the subjects of the National Curriculum Key Stage 2, including PE. However, his real passion is school sport. For example, Mr Anderson extended his commitments for teh school by organising the Key Stage 2 sports day, the Year 5/6 school cross country race, organising the Y5/6 and the Y4 school outdoor PE residential trips. Holiday the Lincolnshire Swimming Teachers Award enabled him to teach swimming each week to children in KS2. He has also selected/coached and entered teams for these competitions - Gainsborough and District Football League, Football Cup, Boys 7 a side Football, Swimming Gala, Track Events and Field Events. He makes sure that the successes and events are covered in the local press and on an 'in school' notice / Olympic display board, which helps to motivate the pupils. To award children Mr Anderson organised a 'sports assembly' where pupils are rewarded for doing well. In summary, all children at his school are encouraged to participate in school sport and be successful by reaching their personal bests. The school has a strong reputation in the local area for sport with high expectation. All children involved in sport at North-County perform at their best and with equal emphasis on success, sportmanship and participation. I think Mr Anderson and his pupils would be delighted if he was given the opportunity to carry the torch.'the school' not 'teh school' 'Holding' not 'Holiday' 'To reward' not 'To award' 'As well as organising these competitions for 15 other local schools he also selected/coached' not just 'selected/coached'
