After a cancer scare in 2010 made me sit up & think 'life really is too short'. I started running for my sanity my health & because I couldI started running to complete a Race for Life with friends from work. Upto this point I was a couch potato! We wanted to raise money for this fantastic cause whilst taking part in this amazing only ladies event. I lived with the knowledge I had cancer for 1 week and to be given the all clear was the most amazing life changing moment I had ever experienced.I cried the happiest of tears. I ran the 5K Race for Life 2.5 weeks after an operation to remove my thyroid. It was the hardest thing I had ever done but I was determine I was not walking it! After that running changed & shaped my life for the better forever. I run several times a week & have just completed my 4th 10K race.I run come rain or shine I love the way it makes me feel alive.
