Jo Shorey

Jo (or Mad Jo as she is often referred to) has a heart of gold. 11 years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Jo has always remained positive. She formed Ladies Alive, a group of 7 women from Weymouth, who have all had breast cancer. Their aim is to raise money for charity and also to have a good time. Between them they have raised £17000 for the breast cancer charity and also £1300 for local charities. Jo keeps fit by running and has just started to run a keep fit class to encourage others. She is a mother of 2 girls and 2 boys and has 2 grandsons.
