Jo Johnson

My friend Jo would be a worthy Olympic Torchbearer! Jo is a Teacher and Play Therapist at her local school for pupils with Special Educational needs. She teaches English to Autistic children and Music to those with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. Jo doesn't see this as a job-she loves her students and when on a career break even retrained as a child minder! Jo is also a wonderful singing coach in the local community centre where she inspires 3 to 16 year olds to raise their self esteem and confidence. Jo organises events and singing shows to raise money for local community charities. Her love of her local village meant she helped restore a dilapidated local park to its former glory by being on the committee and volunteering in the park cafe once built. Jo never stops and has just cycled coast to coast to raise money for a cancer charity. Jo inspires anyone she meets!
