Jill's nomination story

My Mum, Jill, is a remarkable woman. She was a carer to my Dad for over 20 years before he sadly passed away. Since then, she spends much of her time helping out in charity shops and raising funds for various different charities. On top of that she spends a lot of time helping elderly neighbours and friends (although she is 78 herself) by ferrying them to hospital appointments, shopping for them and even taking them to the theatre as a special treat. Having cared for my Dad for over 20 years and having no time for herself in that time, you would think now she is alone she would just want me time , but instead she spends her time helping others in the community. She really is an amazing woman and I would be so proud to give her this amazing one-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
