Jette's nomination story

In my opinion, all achievements in life do not have to be great and affect many to make a difference. Making a difference in only one person's life is a great achievement as well.. Caring about family and friends is something that I really value in life. The best compliment I have ever had was when one of my closest friend's daughter said: "Mum, I really hope I can have a best friend like Jette when I grow up". She said this on her mum's wedding day. My friend had a terrible morning that day which should be one of the most memorable days in life. Many things were not going as planned and she felt very sad about this. So I stepped in and took over the planning for the rest of the day so she did not need to worry about it. The wedding turned out great and the bride was very grateful.. I am also a volunteer every year at a summer festival in my local community. Me and my children contribute by selling popcorn, bracelets etc. to support the local handball and music club. I think it is important that children learn in an early age the meaning of helping others in an unselfish way and in the same time enjoying the feeling of doing so.
