Jessica Driver

I have never met a person like Jessica before. She is 13 years old and has a condition which severely impairs her vision and affects her everyday life, both at school and at home. Despite this she never complains about her disability and she is always willing to tackle any task. She is inspirational because of her sheer determination, kindness, affability, warmth and resolve. She is always friendly and welcoming. She endeavours to involve others in activities and she always shows willingness to try new things and gain different experiences. Her ethos is that there is always someone else worse off than her. She believes that perhaps the reason for her condition is that god trusted in the hope she would be able to cope and furthermore helps others. I do not believe that I will meet another person like Jess in my lifetime. She is so strong and resolute and I am proud to know her. She fully deserves to be an Olympic Torch bearer because she would never ask herself. She personifies the Olympic values and spirit more than any other and she deserves to be seen by the public as the amazing person we know her to be.
