Jez Turner

Jez is a very inspirational person to all of his family, friends and colleagues. He's spent time, energy and money raising thousands of pounds for children's charities by running the Great North Run, London & Edinburgh marathons, organising a weekly lottery, and trekking up Kilimanjaro to name a few of his main charity activities. Next year Jez is going a step further by organising and taking part in a Lands End to John O'Groats bike ride to raise money for cancer charities. He does all of this whilst working full time and looking after his family, as well as being a school governer. One of his own daughter's has her own health issues which has helped Jez be inspired to get out there and help others. In turn he inspires the people around him. He has helped me train for the Edinburgh Marathon this year and raise over a £1000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, and will help train another close friend for his planned LEJOG bike ride next year - never mind everyone he has inspired to either sponsor him or contribute in some way to his activities and in their communities. I think his story would show that anyone can get out there and make a difference!
