I would like to nominate my brother Jerry as he is a true inspiration to all the family. Over the past 2 years he has nursed his wife and never left her side up until the day she died of bowel cancer, he has carried himself with true dignity and resilience throughout this harrowing ordeal and never asked for anything or help they would have been celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this year. He did a sponsored run after Sue died in her memory with a life size cut out of her for the Bobby Moore Cancer Fund and raised a great deal of sponsorship for the fund. He also organised a memorial at Plymstock Broadway shopping centre where Sue worked for many years and raised money for St Lukes Hospice where Sue spent her last days. Previous to Sue getting Cancer my brother raised over £2,000 pounds for a local Plymouth girl who was on his postal round (he is a postman in Plymstock) to help her pay for cancer treatment in Germany, unfortunatly she to died. But no one would have foreseen what happen in the last few years. My brother is a very keen sports person he has completed Plymouth marathon and is a great ambassador for sport. I feel he would be greatly honoured to carry the Olympic torch for Great Britain through Plymouth and it would give him something special to look forward to after all he has been through. My brother is a very kind person and has always been an inspiration to me. I do hope you consider my nomination Thank you Giovanna
