Jerry's nomination story

Jerry joined Cadbury just before the public launch of Spots v Stripes and his passion for the Olympics was immediately obvious. Throwing himself into the 2012 team his role involves both strategic planning and actively managing social media channels/chatting with our consumers - often far outside office hours. He's given up chunks of his evenings and whole weekends to help the team maximise PR/event opportunities and I've never heard him complain about having to do so. On a wider level he's been a great team player, blurring the boundaries of his own role to support me and other when necessary and when push comes to shove he's helped the 2012 team get few some tight scrapes and close deadlines. We work close together on a daily basis and he's an absolute joy to work with.

Before working here Jerry worked at a charity in Tower Hamlets and I know he remains committed to the organisation, located in one of the Olympic Boroughs, which helps disadvantaged young people. He's also always one of the first to sign up for the various volunteering opportunities presented as part of the London 2012 community programme - and there's a bench in Denham Country Park which pays testament to the fact he's willing to get his hands dirty!
