Jeff King

Jeff King will be 62 in 2012 and has taught PE for the last forty years in London schools. Ofsted has described him as an outstanding teacher on more than one occasion and his own four children would describe him as an outstanding dad. He fortunately survived testicular cancer and every year leads his current school in fundraising activities for Cancer Research. He continues to work part-time teaching and inspiring young men and women to love sport and physical activity whilst also remaining fit by going to the gym and regularly playing football. I am sure that many students will fondly remember their PE teacher Mr King who has always encouraged young people, believing in them and empowering them to succeed. Jeff is my husband and I am extremely proud of him as a father and as a dedicated teacher. Please reward him by granting him the opportunity to carry the symbolic flame in 2012.
