Jean Lance

Jean will be 80 on 10th August 2012; she would love to be a torchbearer and would run! An inspiration in itself for us all! Jean has played, coached and taken an interest in a wide range of sports all her life. She remembers as a teenager cycling across London to attend the Olympics at Wembley which she admits was the catalyst for her love of sport. She then went on to coach a variety of sports in a number of schools, while living abroad she taught Indian children to swim and then taught their mothers which was cultural quite exceptional at the time. Today she belongs to a golf club, a tennis club and a gym club. She plays a competitive round of golf every week, tennis twice a week, swims and attends aerobics classes. She still finds time to volunteer at the local hospital and play bridge. Please give this exceptional lady the opportunity as a birthday present, she would be thrilled. Thank you.
