Our next category for Outstanding Fundraising Act aims to recognise where an individual has exceeded all expectations in raising money for a very worthy cause. Our winner took the initiative to drive the awareness of a condition and cause which was, and still is, very close to her heart. Following the death of her mother, our winner has worked tirelessly to ensure women are educated on the symptoms of ovarian cancer, whilst also raising funds to support the Ovarian Cancer Action.

She took the initiative to drive the campaign for this charity through our business, engaging many of our directors, including myself, along the away. For example, she has driven and influenced the decision to sell pins and bracelets for Ovarian Cancer Action in our stores. Her determination resulted in £250,000 being raised for Ovarian Cancer Action over the past 2 years, raising enough money to open the first Ovarian Cancer Research. She has given a small charity a voice in M&S.
