Jamie is the sports coach at our school. He is fun, kind and passionate about children's well being. He encourages every child to strive for the best and insists on all children being included, fair play and instills in children the need for sportsmanship. Jamie gives up his lunch times to eat with the children. Jamie makes a point of eating with the children who need a friend. This in turn encourages other children to join them and sets up friendship networks for the children. Jamie is an inspirational teacher and children's involvement in sport, throughout our school has grown and grown. From Nursery to Year 6 all children join in with his sports sessions and after school activities (which he runs every night) Not only does Jamie play a massive role in our school community, he plays football for a local team and runs a football coaching club in Enfield. It would be the most amazing start to our Olympics. Jamie has set the tone for the Olympics by advocating the 'Get Set' programme within our school. He has organised our sports day for this year to have an Olympic theme including a torch run, an opening ceremony and a closing celebration ceremony. He is currently organising for a Paralympian to join us too. I'm nominating Jamie because he is an inspiration to our whole school community. He would adore the opportunity to be part of this historical event and the children and families would be brimming with pride to cheer him on his quest. Go Jamie Go!!! Thank you.
